Decarboxylation

Decarboxylation is the process that turns THC-A (a non-intoxicating cannabinoid present in raw cannabis) into THC (the chemical that gets you high). It happens when cannabis flower is exposed to heat. This can happen by baking it in the oven or lighting it up in your bowl. If we want to get specific, this process begins at 220 degrees fahrenheit.
